LOUBRESSAC is a classified "Un des plus beaux village de France et village de fleuris" - one of France's most beautiful villages and village of flowers. It is situated in the beautiful valley of the Dordogne, in the Department of the Upper Lot. Being a hill-top village it overlooks the chateaux of Montal, Castelnau and St. Laurent Les Tours. The views around the village and house have been painted and written about for centuries and are breath-taking during the day and absolutely magical in the evening when the chateaux are illuminated and the lights of the nearby town of St. Cere, twinkle in the night sky.
Loubressac is one of those rare villages that are still able to evoke another time and place, and should not be missed if you are in the region. It is a magical village to explore and enjoy, and although small the trip is highly recommended.

As many of you are aware, Lianne is no longer with us. I am her son, Gordie, and have kept her account active to preserve the passion she had with her art and this community.
