About Alissa Schneider
As many of you are aware, Lianne is no longer with us. I am her son, Gordie, and have kept her account active to preserve the passion she had with her art and this community. Please see below for a "final note" she posted with a few of the last pieces she completed before passing away in November of 2015. "Being a part of this Fine Art America community has meant the world to me over the past years and I'd like to express my endless gratitude for all the support and encouragement you have given me so graciously. My one regret is that having lost the battle with leukemia, I have to let go of something so special to me. I won't say goodbye - just may your lives be blessed as you have blessed mine." Alissa, hello. I was just voting in the Beautiful Roses for Valentines Day contest when I saw an image from Lianne, and my heart simply seemed to stop. We were such good friends for so many years on RB. I knew she was here, she told me, but I could not leave, at that time. I just want to say hello, and how wonderful it is to keep Lianne's incredible art and beautiful spirit alive! I have missed her so deeply. I do not know your relation, and I hope you forgive me for writing all this. Your art is so powerful and you are so very talented as well. I am thrilled to have found you. Anyway, it is so nice to meet you, it is more than nice, I feel blessed. Take good care, Sharon

Hello Sharon! I am her son, Gordie and have been keeping my Mother's account open and active in order to keep her art alive in people like you who knew her and appreciated her works. Alissa is my Daughter who is at VCUarts in Richmond. There a few other pieces of hers in the gallery as well from when she was in high school. I have not added some her more recent work from her time in college (which is far more advanced than these). Thank you so much for responding to this piece. Take care!
