The original image of Christmas Morn is listed in the Library of Congress as belonging in the public domain. I have created this digital painting based on a small copy of the original. This is a very popular vintage Christmas card readily available online, occasionally with some additional buildings that do not appear in the original. Bauer also painted a matching image called Christmas Eve which I have also painted and will post

HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE: These Christmas landscapes were standard fare for the large lithographic printers of the era and this one was especially well printed and preserved.
ARTIST: W. C. Bauer (1862-1904) was a resident of New Jersey.
ORIGINAL MEDIA: Raphael Tuck & Sons, London, printed the original lithograph on which this new print is based.
